will not make it out today, but will be out there tomorrow.
R1: guaranteed victory. O'neill second time starter will go much better in here and should be a betable number at anything north of 3/1.
R4: alphabet kisses is the most likely winner, but she got jerry bailey for this engagement and that means she'll be a serious underlay. I will try taygete who should run better in here after chasing some decen fillies.
R5: orbit's world. territorial will be about 4/5 in here and will take some beating. I would look to orbits world, who will run better than his last race when he was six lengths behind territorial. That was orbits world first start, so he has serious room for improvement. The other one is maximum heat, who has blistering drills for bill currin. The most interesting thing re: 'heat is that he sold for $92k in the two year olds in training sale this march. His sire stands for $1k, so he HAS to have shown speed to have sold for that price. And speed kills.
R6: kiss kiss kiss was not supposed to show any speed first time out and she promptly pressed a fast pace and drew away. She's the one to beat. The whacky upsetter is fabulous passion, who has always trained better than she's run in the afternoons. I'd give her a look at 20/1.
R7: forest way and gathering gold. I thought forest way would run a lot better than he did first time out. Now he gets to stretch out and run on turf so he should show good speed. Mt. simon is also sent out by a GREAT longshot trainer, Paulo Lobo, so I wouldn't be shocked to see this one run well first out of the box. Gathering gold is my second choice in here as he got an education run sprinting on the dirt in his last and now goes a distance of ground.
R8: total impact. i can't believe i'm actually endorsing this horse, but i want to try to beat Pleasantly perfect, widely regarded as the best horse on the planet, as seeks to avenge his loss to Choctaw nation, a reformed 40k claimer. The horse I think can beat them both is total impact, who will be neglected in the betting vis-à-vis the two favorites. 'impact will get a great trip sitting behind a fast pace and need only hold off the two favorites in the lane to win. i think i've always had a thing against total impact b/c he's by stuka, who was put up in one of the world's worst disqualifications in the 1994 'big cap went the stewards took down runaway winner the wicked north. i can still remember chris antley getting booed as he led stuka into the winner's circle. i'm putting that all aside and backing a nice horse at a good price.
R10: macaneo. Probably the best gamble on the day as this one should be all set for his best in his second start of the meet. Good luck.
